We are happy to announce and welcome you to our International Faculty Exchange Week for PostDocs in the field of Energy Research at Clausthal University of Technology (TUC)!

2025 is a special year for our university: 250 years ago, in 1775, we began our journey as a mining school closely related to sustainable energy solutions - a place for personal and academic growth, for curiosity as much as for international exchange. Nowadays, TUC is known for excellence in energy research such as production of green hydrogen and underground storage, electrochemical energy storage and sector coupling, offering close contact to scientific leaders and superb research infrastructures.

In the spirit of sharing and building long lasting networks, the International Center Clausthal and the research field Sustainable Energy Systems warmly invite you to the first International Faculty Exchange Week from May 19-23, 2025. Over the course of these five days, we would like to give you a glimpse into our research in distribution, conversion and storage of electrical, thermal, chemical and mechanical energy as well as the services and support we provide for young scientists.

We have scheduled, workshops, lab visits, discussions, lectures and excursions to give you a well-rounded overview of our small, yet very innovative University of Technology. There will be enough time for individual talks and lectures at working groups matching your respective field of research. Get to know Germany’s most northern mountain region the Harz Mountains, and enjoy the surrounding UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Sites.

As soon as your participation in our International Faculty Exchange Week is confirmed you can start to organize travel arrangements. Accommodation and travel expenses in general can be funded via Erasmus+ grants from your home institution.
