Conditional Admission

If you have a higher education entrance qualification (HZB) and have no or too little knowledge of German, you can attend intensive German language courses in Clausthal. These courses are subject to a fee. Students who have applied for a Study Program taught in German will receive a conditional admission to study in this program and a written confirmation of registration for a German language course. With these documents, students can apply for a visa at the  German Embassy in their respective home countries. An application for conditional admission is made via the general application portal of TU Clausthal.

The semester for your admission depends on your German language skills. For example, if you apply for the winter semester and can prove German language skills at the level of A2 at the time of application, you will need at least 6 more months to reach the required level C1. I.e. your admission would be issued for the following summer semester.

Please note that the processing of individual applications cannot be expedited. Please do not schedule an appointment at the German Embassy before you have received the conditional admission.
