Celebrating 250 years of Face-to-Face International Relations

We are happy to announce and welcome you to our 8th International Staff Exchange Week at Clausthal University of Technology!

2025 is a special year for our university: 250 years ago, in 1775, we began our journey as a place for personal and academic growth, for curiosity as much as for international exchange. We regard this anniversary not only as an opportunity for celebration but also for reflection. We would like to take a look with you at some of our longstanding international co-operations, share lessons learned as well as learn from your experiences. How can we keep the wheel turning, so to speak, for a long time? We would like to gather ideas, as members of international offices, on how we can make our co-operations (more) sustainable in the future.

In the spirit of sharing and exchanging best practices, the International Center Clausthal (IZC) warmly invites you to its 8th International Staff Exchange Week from June 16-20, 2025. Over the course of these five days, we would like to give you a glimpse into our university, the services we at the IZC offer and the tools we provide for administrators, teaching staff and students.

We have scheduled workshops, presentations, discussions, and excursions to give you a well-rounded overview of our small, yet very diverse University of Technology in Germany’s most northern mountain region, the Harz Mountains, and also to show you the surrounding UNESCO World Cultural Heritage
Sites.

As soon as your participation in our International Staff Exchange Week is confirmed you can start to organize travel arrangements. Accommodation and travel expenses in general can be funded via Erasmus+ grants from your home institution.
